In order to charge for your course and receive payments, you must have either a verified PayPal account or an activated Stripe account. Connect your account on the pricing section of your course. For information on getting verified, see the PayPal help. For information on activating your Stripe account see this page.
If you'd like to learn more about the pricing options you can set up, head over to the pricing options help doc.
Note: Your PayPal account must also be able to send payments using your balance (this is how we collect our fee). In certain countries, PayPal does not allow this. If you have any questions, please contact support.
If you want to enable your participants to pay with a credit card when using PayPal, you must have a 'Premier' or 'Business' PayPal account. You can still receive money with a 'Personal' account, however your participant will also need to have a PayPal account in order to purchase the course, they will not be able to pay with a credit card.
How long does it take to get paid?
PayPal: Funds from your course sales are deposited immediately into your PayPal account when someone enrolls in the course. CourseCraft does not handle the funds, so there is no delay imposed by CourseCraft. PayPal's normal policies for withdrawing funds from your PayPal account apply.
Stripe: Funds will appear in your Stripe dashboard right away, but will take 7 days to clear and transfer to your bank account. See this page for more details.
The CourseCraft fee will handled automatically so you do not need to take any action to send the fee to CourseCraft. If you don't want to pay CourseCraft transaction fees, subscribe to the Society plan to get 0% fees. (PayPal and Stripe fees will still apply)
