Mailing List Integration allows you to connect your email provider and automatically add participants to a mailing list. Email marketing is a fantastic way to keep in touch with your participants and let them know about your other courses and products.

This option can be found under the 'promote' section of your course.

Will participants be given the opportunity to opt-out?

Yes. During the enrollment process, participants will be given the opportunity to opt-out of your mailing list if you have set one up. That way you can be sure you're following anti-spam rules.

I got an error, what does it mean?

MailChimp: If your mailing list provider splits FNAME and LNAME into separate 'merge fields', there can be a potential problem. CourseCraft only sends FNAME which is the full name of the person who enrolled, so LNAME and any other fields must be optional. For more information on merge tags, check out MailChimp's help doc.

Where can I find my API key for connecting ConvertKit?

Just click the 'Account' button in the top menu bar. You'll find your API key there to copy and paste into CourseCraft. (Don't use the 'secret' key)
